The Caribbean at its most dramatic
St Lucia pairs the soaring twin Pitons with rainforest, waterfalls and quiet coves, making it one of the Caribbean’s most romantic islands. Stay in a hillside hideaway near Soufrière, a lively resort in Rodney Bay or beside the yachts at Marigot Bay.
Where to go

The twin Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with sulphur springs, mud baths and botanical gardens nearby.

The island’s liveliest stretch, with a marina, beaches, restaurants and the historic national landmark at Pigeon Island.

A sheltered, palm-fringed bay with yachts, waterside dining and calm water.
Guided hikes, zip-lines and waterfalls in the island’s green, mountainous heart.
A Friday-night street party with music and grilled fish, just north of Rodney Bay.
Culture and customs
St Lucians are warm and welcoming, and the island’s French-based Kwéyòl adds a distinctive Caribbean flavour.

Can’t see your question? Send us a message or WhatsApp us.
Do I need a visa for St Lucia with a British passport?
No. British passport holders can visit St Lucia without a visa and are allowed to stay for a maximum of 6 weeks on entry. Your passport must have an expiry date after the day you plan to leave. Fill in the online immigration form no more than 3 days before you arrive; if you don’t, you’ll need to complete a form on arrival.
How long is the flight from the UK to St Lucia?
Nonstop flights take about 9 hours. British Airways flies daily from Gatwick to Hewanorra in the south of the island. From other UK airports, you would usually connect in London or via a US hub.
When is the best time to visit St Lucia?
December to April is the dry season and the most popular time to go. The Caribbean hurricane season normally runs from June to November, when there is more rain, so keep an eye on forecasts if you travel then.
Is St Lucia safe to visit?
FCDO does not advise against travel to any part of St Lucia, and GOV.UK says most visits are trouble free. It does note a continuing risk of serious, mostly gang-related crime, so use licensed taxis, keep valuables in the hotel safe and avoid isolated areas, including beaches, after dark. Read the latest GOV.UK travel advice before you go.
Can Travel Style book my whole St Lucia trip?
Yes. We’re IATA accredited, so we issue flights ourselves and can add hotels, transfers and excursions in one booking — with one team to message before, during and after your trip.
