A statutory declaration is a formal written statement of facts that you declare to be true in front of a solicitor, commissioner for oaths or other authorised person. Organisations such as HM Passport Office and HM Land Registry accept them as evidence.
We take down your facts and what the organisation has asked for, prepare the declaration in the prescribed form, list any documents it refers to, and help you arrange signing it.

- Matched to what the organisation has asked for
- Documents it refers to listed and organised

Statutory declaration — quick answers
What is the difference from an affidavit?
A statutory declaration is declared; an affidavit is sworn or affirmed. If the letter says "affidavit" or "sworn", use our affidavit service instead.
Can I use it abroad?
Often, after legalisation with an apostille. Check with the receiver first, as some require a notary or solicitor to take it.
Does HM Land Registry accept one?
Yes, to link your name to the register. It also accepts a signed statement of truth for many matters.
How many originals will I need?
HM Passport Office needs an original, and most organisations keep the one you send, so you may need more than one.
